Shade
Overview
To ensure that shade control structures are designed and constructed to withstand that harsh conditions of our region, our specialist division Izzat Shade Control, designs structures that remain stable in areas of high velocity winds and that are protected against various environmental factors.
As a division of Izzat Consulting Engineers, our shade structures are designed and constructed to precise engineering criteria and comply with relevant Australian Standards and Building Codes. At the completion of each project, we provide full structural certifications. Three-dimension (3D) computer-modelling techniques are used to design these shade structures and to demonstrate the shade form prior to construction.
The minimalist and honest nature of tensioned shade structures provides lightweight architectural forms designed in a variety of shapes and sizes. The use of shades optimises the built environment by maximising light and sun in winter and providing protection from the western and midday sun in summer.
Shade structures can form part of the initial building design or they can be added to existing buildings. Applications include architectural entrance ways, walkways, exhibitions, shade structures, restaurant and hospitality areas, car park areas, and recreational areas.
A wide range of fabrics and colours are available depending on the application, longevity and features required such as fire resistance and low maintenance. Tensioned fabric can be manufactured from knitted polyethylene (shade cloth), PVC-coated polyester and PTFE-coated glass fibre.
Services
At Izzat Shade Control we offer the following services;
- Design Consultation – involvement in the concept development stage allows us to maximise our expertise to the benefit of the project
- Budget Control – An effective design at the beginning provides for a controlled budget. We can develop project budgets at the concept design stage
- 3D images for client approval. Our fabric modelling design tool allows for the production of colour 3D images
- Design documentation for council approval and construction. Our structural engineering skill base allows for the production of detailed plans and specifications
